Rain Cancelled his LA Concert???!!!

So, my sources tell me that when they got to the Staples Center tonight, they were notified at the concert that it had been cancelled!!! Can you believe that??? A little earlier notice would have been greatly appreciated. I can just imagine all the pissed off fans getting there to hear about this. Rumor has it that the equipment didn't meet US standards.

If Rain and his company got sued for the Hawaii cancellation, this cannot be good. More news to come on this mess.

It's just nuts. He cancels concert because the stage isn't big enough, because the stage isn't waterproof, because lack of ticket sales(because fans only got 2 week advance notice to buy in some cases), his stage equipment didn't meet the fire standards??? Certainly a Worldwide performer's equipment people would take into consideration the different requirements that needed to be met. Concerts are after all are done all over the World by so many others. I love Rain, but I am very disappointed in these actions. His head got a little big comparing himself to Madonna and Michael Jackson-not just he size of his touring equipment. He needs to,like other foreign artist, get his music played on the radio and sing in English. His Rainy day concert was fantastic. He is a great Artist,Dancer and Singer. He puts on a first class show. I wish I knew the words to his songs or what he's singing about. I wonder if he realizes that companies are going out of business, families may lose their houses due the tremendous financial loss. All the poor fans local and afar that went through all the effort to see him. Its unexcuseable to blame others when it the person who is having the concert who hired the people who are to make sure of these factors before hand and avoid all this confusion and disappointment. I know I felt so crushed after he canceled his show. I was dreaming about my 10th row right on the extended stage tickets. The evening planned ,the clothes purchased.... I do love Rain and we can only blame whoever he hired that dropped the ball. I think he will be the worldwide artist and I know he will be wonderful in Speed Racer, because he also is a fine actor. I hope all of his recent concert troubles can be remedied. I wish he would make it up to all the fans and the promoters who wanted nothing but success for him. I hope he can reschedule his tour and heal the hurt and make all O.K. by everyone and be triumphant in doing so. Aza aza fighting...

I can't believe he's done it again. Now who is he going to blame. He cancels because the stage isn't big enough(you find that out before you book the concert,if your equipment need more space), the stage isn't waterproof, the equipment didn't meet fire standards. It's the performer responsiblity to make sure he hires people whose job it is to take care of these matters. The people he hired dropped the ball. He keeps blaming others. He has disappointed fans all across the US. Who is he going to sue for his mistake now. I wonder if he knows people may lose their businesses, their jobs, their homes because they went out on a financial limb to make it happen for the fans. The poor fans who took off work, spent a weeks salary(who buys just one ticket)flew to be there, actually waiting outside the Staples center and the sting of disappointment. He compares himself to Madonna and Michael Jackson and not just the size or amount of his concert equipment. He needs to sell CD's globally, he needs to have his music heard on the radio. He needs to sing in English like other foreign speaking artists. We want to know the words to the songs and what they are saying. He is a great preformer and puts on a first class show. I have such hopes of his success and growth. I can't wait to see his acting in Speed Racer because I know he will be excellent. I hope he makes it up to the fans and rebooks all his shows and makes it right with everyone that has been hurt by this. After all it is his fans and companies that wanted nothing but the best for him in the US. I know he had a fantastic show planned-at least that's what I imagine.

Rain: Tears Fell because LA Concert was Cancelled

Singer Rain cried and looked around forlornly when LA concert was cancelled.

"My fans are more important than the stage to me."

Rain, who has been preparing whole-heartedly for the LA concert, couldn't help but break down in tears when the concert was cancelled on the day of performance.

According to Star M, which has been preparing for the Rain LA concert, after hearing about the cancellation, Rain insisted on going for the performance even if the stage is incomplete.

Star M's representative and SPN said this over an international call, "Rain saw his incomplete stage and cried." "He is weary from insisting on continuing the performance even though the stage is incomplete."
Rain heard that the performance was impossible, and saw the fans who came to the concert despite not understanding a word of English (Korean??). He kept repeating his wish to apologise to them directly.

Rain wanted to apologise directly to the fans because even though the cancellation was not caused by him, he wanted to do something for the fans within his ability.

Rain insisted on meeting the fans at the concert site, but was strongly advised to give up and leave the premises. Star M, who is in charge of his LA concert, has formally announced the cancellation. Star M and SPN representatives stated the reason "cancelled due to complicated problems" on the international call.

Not his fault. I can`t believe people are actually blaming him for this. >.<

I personally don't think that is the real reason. There's usually a set of procedures before a concert becomes official ( I wrote about this on my blog asian-buzz.com). There's rumors that it is the ticket sales. A celebrity of Rain's caliber probably would not want to ruin his reputation over one US concert. Did you buy the tickets?

Sad Rain Fan,

Sorry to hear about your friend. Man, I hope this doesnt mess it up for other future Asian artists who come to the US for concerts

There's just 2 words to describe all that's happened with Rain's concert - poor management. It doesn't look like Star M is doing a great job since they got in the picture.

I hope "Speed Racer" come out very impressive, otherwise, there may not a larger US market for him in the near future...
