Shirley Kwan (a.k.a. Kwan Suk’E) is a distinctive Hong Kong canto-pop singer best known for her unique vocal and avant-garde music style. Shirley first shot to fame in 1989 as a pop sensation with the hit single Happy Are Those In Love. She then successfully developed into a multi-talented artiste, implanting various western musical elements into the genre of canto-pop. In 1995, Shirley published her mesmerizing album 'EX' All Time Favourites, which has since become a modern classic. Shirley spent the second half of 1990s mostly away from the limelight but managed to boost some significant collaboration with her close friends. After an interval of performing on stage, she made a successful comeback recently. Her Being Shirley On Stage concerts in early 2006 amazed the audiences with a single brilliant feat. In the meantime, Shirley duet with music veteran Alan Tam in Rekindle The Flame, a Cantonese remake of the French ballad J'ai murmure va-t-en. “Rekindle” took the charts by storm, reaching number 1 on most pop charts. Without doubt, Shirley’s evergreen success is evidential. Organized by Tai Pan Tours, Shirley will exhibit such brilliance at Casino Rama Entertainment Centre on Sunday, August 26, 2007.
